“Anne Bowcock is an award winning makeup artist”
In 2004 Anne retrained as a beauty therapist and makeup Artist, running her own beauty business since 2008. In 2013 Anne took the City In Guilds PTTLS teaching qualification which as a result opened up a fantastic opportunity as Head of Makeup Artistry for LeMaqpro & ADCreativ at the start of 2014. Due to constant requests for 1 to 1 training Anne started to focus more on freelance makeup artistry training from May 2015 for salons & spas and individual tailored makeup training. In June 2015 Anne was appointed Business Manager for highly sort after makeup brand Urban Decay. Part of the role involves building on the brands highly established reputation via in-store events and masterclasses.
Anne was a finalist for Professional Beauty awards for Specialist Makeup Artist of the year 2015
She is has also played an avid part as key head makeup artist for the ADCreativ team on prestigious and red carpet events, and has worked on Soap Awards 2014 and as a key head makeup artist for Miss World London 2014.Anne has had various aspects of her work printed for various editorial publications and gracing some front covers and continues to stretch her creative talent this way in a freelance role and taking her achievement back to her teaching role to benefit up and coming makeup artists.
Anne has had the pleasure and privilege of meeting Hollywood Academy Oscar winning makeup artist Robyn Mathews and being able to see her recreate her own work which won her the Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club, as well as meeting and watching Neil Gortin recreate his Lady Gaga ‘Born This Way’ look. Both opportunities have inspired Anne to continue to follow her own dreams of inspiring other artists. Anne is renowned for her signature look ‘less is more’ concept focusing on her ‘Real Glamour for All Women’ campaign, allowing women’s own natural beauty to shine through via a fresh and flawless look.
Anne was appointed the Creative Director for Liverpool Fashion Week and has also contributed for online and regional magazines focusing on current and forthcoming trends as well as show casing beauty and makeup products. As well as providing make up lessons via one-to-one or on Skype, Anne is also an avid social media fan; using her Twitter trend #getyourfaceon which she uses to communicate and keep followers up to date with any products she is road testing, reviewing or using on events or shoots or even using on herself.
Anne is now fulfilling her dream with one of the top makeup brands Urban Decay as well as teaching up and coming creatives, allowing her creative skills, her passion and desire to succeed to educate and inspire the next generation of makeup artists and creatives with her new project ‘Inspiring A New Generation’.
